Z-Spar Spinnaker Cars

Many Z-Spar Mast Sections feature an integral External Spinnaker Car Track (2 different sizes, minimum 2" wide) extruded into the forward side. Spinnaker Cars for these Tracks are listed below. Most Masts will have one side of this track cut out (approximately 4" long) near the deck, to allow for mounting the car without unstepping the mast. If this cutout is not there you will have to cut it, or unstep the mast to install these Spinnaker Cars (except for the plastic, Z-73P-AZT, below).
This Integral External Track (part of the mast) is not to be confused with those Z-Spar Masts with an Internal Track Receiver Slot (7/8" (22mm) wide), designed for Z-Spar 25mm Recirculating Ball (RCB) Track. Normally a factory-installed option, the Mast must be down to install this special insert Track, See, Spinnaker Cars for Z-Spar Recirculating Ball (RCB) Track.

Z-Spar Spinnaker Ring Car: Z-73S-R1: SS Ring Car for use on older Z-Spar Mast Sections with a Small integral External Spinnaker Track (approximately 2" (50mm) wide) extruded into the forward side. SS Car has welded 7mm SS ring with 1 1/2" ID. Car length is 3 1/8" (80mm) long x 2 1/4" (57mm) wide, and is positioned with 6mm Thumb Screw. Experience has shown that a hole must be drilled under the Thumb Screw in all loaded positions to insure positive locking. Suitable for spinnaker poles having standard piston or trigger ends.

Spinnaker Car w/ Z-Spar Toggle: Z-73P-AZT: Light-duty Plastic Spinnaker Car for use on Z-Spar Mast Sections with a Wide integral Spinnaker Track (approximately 3 1/2" (87mm) wide) extruded into the forward side. Spinnaker Car incorporates Z-Spar Aluminum Toggle suitable for use only with Z-Spar Piston pole ends for Metric tubing. Car is 5 3/8" (135mm) long, and is designed to be assembled over the Spinnaker Track. Car has provisions for clamping onto control lines during assembly.
	Toggle only for Z-Spar Spinnaker Poles: Z-73-ZNT: Narrow Cast Aluminum Toggle used with some Z-Spar Spinnaker Cars is suitable only for use with Z-Spar Spinnaker Pole Ends. Cast Toggle is 2 3/4" (68mm) high, and has hole for 12mm vertical Pin.
SS Spinnaker Car w/ FC Toggle: Z-73S-FC: Heavy-duty SS Spinnaker Car for use on Z-Spar Mast Sections with a Wide integral Spinnaker Track (approximately 3 1/2" (87mm) wide) extruded into the forward side. Unit incorporates heavy-duty FC-type SS Toggle for use with all types of piston and trigger pole ends. The Toggle features a delrin bushing on the cross pin to cushion the pole end and reduce noise. Stainless Steel Car has integral plastic liners to reduce friction, Car body is 3 7/16" (87mm) long, assembly (with shackles) is 7" long.
SS Spinnaker Car w/ Z-Spar Pin: Z-73S-ZP: Heavy-duty SS Spinnaker Car for use on Z-Spar Mast Sections with a Wide integral Spinnaker Track (approximately 3 1/2" (87mm) wide) extruded into the forward side. Unit incorporates a special Z-Spar 16mm Pin with an aluminum toggle. Z-Spar Pin is 16mm x 100mm long tip to Pin center. Special Pin fits only Z-Spar Pin-type Pole ends. Stainless Steel Car has integral plastic liners to reduce friction, Car body is 3 7/16" (87mm) long, assembly (with shackles) is 7" long.
	Z-Spar Spinnaker Pin & Toggle Ass'y: Z-73-ZPT: Replacement Z-Spar Pin & Toggle Assembly fits all Z-Spar Pin type Spinnaker Pole ends, and Spinnaker Cars with a 12mm vertical Pin and clearance for a 1 5/16" (34mm) Toggle. Z-Spar Pin is 16mm x 100mm (4") long tip to Pin center, Aluminum Toggle is 1 5/16" (34mm) high with hole for a 12mm Pin.
SS Spinnaker Car w/ Forespar TS Pin: Z-73S-TS: Heavy-duty SS Spinnaker Car for use on Z-Spar Mast Sections with a Wide integral Spinnaker Track (approximately 3 1/2" (87mm) wide) extruded into the forward side. Unit incorporates a Forespar TS Pin with a heavy-duty SS Toggle. TS Pin (1" OD x 3 5/8" long) fits all Forespar TS type Spinnaker Pole ends. Stainless Steel Car has integral plastic liners to reduce friction, Car body is 3 7/16" (87mm) long, assembly (with shackles) is 7" long.
	*Forespar TS Pin & Toggle Ass'y for Spinnaker Car: For TS-PT:*
	Replacement Forespar TS Pin & Toggle Assembly fits all Forespar TS type Spinnaker Pole ends, and Spinnaker Cars with a 1/2" vertical Pin and clearance for a 1" Toggle. Stainless Steel TS Pin is 1" OD x 3 5/8" long, SS Toggle is 1" high with hole for a 1/2" Pin, and is 2 3/4" between Pin centers.

Spinnaker Car Line Control Kits Most Z-Spar Spinnaker Cars require a Line Control system to hold the Car in position. Internal and External Spinnaker Car Line Control Kits are listed below.
Spinnaker Car Line Control Kit - External: NGA-55E: Spinnaker Car Line Control Kit for external control line is rigged with one cheekblock near the base of the mast, and one above the maximum desired car height. Single control line is attached to the shackle on the upper end of the car, runs through the upper cheekblock, down past 2 cleats (facing in opposite directions), through the lower cheekblock, and is tied off to the shackle on the bottom of the car. Kit includes 2 cheek blocks, 2 clam cleats, all fasteners, and a 3/8" Samson control line with an eye splice in one end, long enough to allow up to 14 feet of Car travel. Mounting requires drilling and tapping 12 holes.
Spinnaker Car Line Control Kit - Internal: NGA-56I: Spinnaker Car Line Control Kit for internal control line is rigged with one exit block on the forward centerline near the base of the mast, and one above the maximum desired car height. Single control line is attached to the shackle on the upper end of the car, runs through the upper exit block, down inside the mast, through the lower exit block, and is tied off to the shackle on the bottom of the car. Two clam cleats mount above the lower exit block (facing in opposite directions) to lock car in position. Kit includes 2 exit blocks, 2 clam cleats, all fasteners, and a 3/8" Samson control line with an eye splice in one end, long enough to allow up to 14 feet of Car travel. Mounting requires cutting 2 slots for exit blocks, and drilling and tapping 8 holes.
