| Z-Spar uses cast aluminum mastheads with
virtually all of their Mast Sections. Masthead rigged Masts, both tapered and untapered,
utilize drop-in style mastheads that fit into a slot cut in the fore and aft sides of the Mast tube.
Some Mastheads for Masthead Rigs are listed below. To inquire about a Masthead not
listed below, please specify the Mast Section, and whether or not the Mast is tapered.

Masthead for Z170, Z190, & Z230 Mast Sections: Z-1001XA: Cast aluminum Masthead for Z170, Z190, & Z230 sections features sockets for Headstay and Backstay stemballs. Masthead uses (2) 35mm halyard sheaves (Z-1617) on 8mm knurled axles (Z-1273). Unit is 9 1/4" long overall, and fastens to mast section with (2) 8mm L-bolts.

Masthead for Z Mast Sections: Z-1003A: Cast aluminum Masthead for Z sections features sockets for Headstay and Backstay stemballs. Masthead uses (4) 45mm halyard sheaves (Z-1616) on 8mm knurled axles (Z-1272x). Unit is 11 3/4" long (without Spinnaker Bail), and fastens to mast section with (2) 8mm L-bolts.

Masthead for Z265, Z301, & Z351 Mast Sections: Z-1007A: Cast aluminum Masthead for Z265, Z301, & Z351 sections features sockets for Headstay and Backstay stemballs, and allows for attachment of both Upper shrouds Eyes with a single Pin (8 or 10mm) which seats in the casting (fore & aft). Masthead uses (4) 45mm halyard sheaves (Z-1616) on 8mm Drop-in axles (Z-1329), and a top Cover Plate to cover halyards and sheaves. Unit is 11 1/2" long (without Spinnaker Bail), includes holes for 8mm Spinnaker Bail, and fastens to mast section with (2) 8mm L-bolts.

Masthead for Z400 - Z601 Mast Sections: Z-1005A: Cast aluminum Masthead for mid-range (Z400 - Z601) Standard Mast Sections, features sockets for Headstay and Backstay stemballs, and allows for attachment of both Upper shroud Eyes with a single Pin (10, 12, or 14mm) which seats in the casting (fore & aft). Masthead uses (4) 60mm halyard sheaves (Z-1618) on 8mm Drop-in axles (Z-1277), and a top Cover Plate, Z-1148, to cover halyards and sheaves. Casting is 15 3/8" long (without Spinnaker Bail), includes holes for 10mm Spinnaker Bail, and fastens to mast section with (2) 10mm L-bolts. Cast aluminum Masthead is commonly used on Z400, Z401, Z500, Z501, Z531, Z600, & Z601 Standard Mast Sections. #1005/1026

Cover Plate for Z-1005A Masthead: Z-1148: Cast aluminum Masthead Cover Plate for Z-1005A Masthead covers and protects sheaves, halyards and Upper shroud connections. Casting is 10 3/16" long x 5" wide and fastens to top of Masthead using the Masthead attachment L-bolts.

| Cast aluminum Masthead for mid-range (Z400 - Z601) Furling Mast Sections, features sockets for Headstay and Backstay stemballs, and allows for attachment of both Upper shroud Eyes with a single Pin (10, 12, or 14mm) which seats in the casting (fore & aft). Masthead uses (4) 60mm halyard sheaves (Z-1618) on 8mm Drop-in axles (Z-1277), and a top Furling Mast Cover Plate, Z-1149, which incorporates sheaves and axles required for Furling Masts. Casting is 15 3/8" long (without Spinnaker Bail), includes holes for 10mm Spinnaker Bail, and fastens to mast section with (2) 10mm L-bolts.
