| Masts that use a track for Mainsail Sail Slides
or Slugs (as opposed to a Boltrope) require a means of keeping the Sail Slides captive so that they
don't fall out when the sail is lowered or reefed.
Mainsail Gates allow the Sail Slides to slide past the Gate entrance without falling out. Listed below are Mainsail Gates and Slide Stops listed by Type and by Manufacturer.

| Sail Slide Stop for Boltrope Groove: K-11198: Sail Slide Stop works to keep sail slides from coming out of the sail entrance when the mainsail is lowered. Aluminum Slide Stop is 7/16" diameter x 1" long with SS thumb screw, thumb screw features captive nylon washer to prevent damage to mast surface.

| Mainsail Gate Assembly for Boltrope Groove: K-9619K: Aluminum Gate Assembly covers standard 4" entrance for sail slides or boltrope. When closed, allows slides to pass by gate and remain in mast. Slots allow gate to be slid aside when thumbscrews are loosened, and still remain attached to mast. Formed black Aluminum plate is 4" high x 2 1/8" wide, with slots on 3" centers for (2) SS thumbscrews, K-45 (included). Installation requires drilling and tapping (2) 10-32 holes. As used on Kenyon 3049 and 3650 Mast Sections, but will fit many other similarly sized Teardrop Sections - sail entrance modification may be required. Note: Masts with cutouts on both sides will require 2 Assemblies.

| Boltrope to Slide - Sailgate Conversion Kits | ||
| Sailgate Slide Conversion Kits Many Mast Sections have a Boltrope Groove, used with mainsails having a rope luff for quick hoisting. It is sometimes desirable to switch to a mainsail with slugs for ease of handling. Sailgate Slide Conversion Kits cover up the long sail entrance slot, allowing sail slides to pass by without falling out. As there is great variation in Mast Section curvatures, especially in the area of the luff groove, there are no 'generic' kits that fit a wide variety of Mast Sections. Kits listed below fit specific Mast Sections and Gate lengths, it is rare that they will fit other Sections without modification.

Kenyon 4060 Sailgate Slide Conversion Kit for 3" Gate: K-11653K: Sailgate Slide Conversion Kit to fit Kenyon 4060 Mast Section with a 3" Gate Cut-out. Kit contains (2) specially contoured SS plates & (4) SS thumbscrews, K-45, to close up the standard 3" gate cutout and still allow the slides to go by without jamming.
