fully anodized or raw (mill finish), it can also be cut to shorter lengths. To

Listed below are parts specific to
the Spartan CD-4 Mast Section. All CD-4 Cast Aluminum Mast Components are standard with a
clear anodized finish for maximum corrosion resistance and greater longevity. Other
finishes available on special order.

CD-4 Masthead: SP-083A (aluminum sheaves):
CD-4 Masthead: SP-083P (plastic sheaves):
Heavy-duty cast aluminum masthead assembly with 4 sheaves is designed to allow use of external
OR internal halyards. Includes SS Toggles, SP-81-08, for headstay and backstay
with 1/2" pins and a topping lift attachment pin. Housing is cast in 356 Aluminum with clear
anodized finish. Optional spinnaker bail (SP-083-1) is available. |

Masthead Toggle Assembly w/ 1/2" Pin: SP-81-08:
SS Masthead Toggle Assembly is formed without slot to sit on 1/2" cross-pin going
through masthead without central support, and includes 1/2" (lower) Clevis Pin.
Toggle measures (maximum) 2 1/4" long x 1 1/8" wide x 1/8" thick, with 1
1/4" between pin centers, and will accommodate eyes up to 9/16" thick. CD4 |

Masthead Spinnaker Bail: SP-083-1:
Heavy 5/16" SS bail is welded to a 2 1/4" x 1 7/8" flat plate which attaches to the top of the
masthead with (4) 1/4" RH machine screws. Screw hole spacing (to centers) is 1 1/2" fore and aft
x 3/4" wide. Bail is angled downward and projects 1 1/2" forward of plate. Mounting requires
drilling & tapping (4) 1/4-20 holes. |

Upper Shroud Tang for 3/8" Pin: SP-204:
SS Shroud Tang was designed for use with Shrouds up to 7/32" diameter using standard Aircraft Fork.
Tang is 1 1/4" wide x 6 1/4" long x .120" with (2) 3/8" mounting holes and (1) 3/8" Pin Hole.
Bolt hole centerlines are 1 7/8" apart, Pin Hole center is 3 1/8" from lower bolt. Assembly
attaches to the mast with (2) 3/8" bolts. Mounting requires (2) 3/8" holes in side of mast.
Especially suitable for use in Upper Shroud applications as the 2 bolts allow no fore and aft
movement, it is also suited for other applications where the tang should not be allowed to pivot. |

Upper Shroud Clevis Tang w/ 1/2" Pin: SP-206:
SS Upper Shroud Tang Assembly was designed for use with Shrouds up to 9/32" diameter using standard
Marine Eyes. Tang is 6 7/8" long x 1 1/4" wide x .120" with (1) 1/2", and (1) 3/8"
mounting hole and includes (1) 1/2" Clevis Pin. Tang Assembly mounts with (1) 1/2" bolt and
(1) 3/8" bolt on 1 7/16" centers; Pin center is 4" from lower bolt. Especially suitable for use in
Upper Shroud applications as the 2 bolts allow no fore and aft movement, it is also suited for
other applications where the tang should not be allowed to pivot. |

CD-4 Bow/Foredeck Light Assembly: SP-086:
Combination Bow (Steaming) and Foredeck light, in cast aluminum housing fits forward side of CD-4
mast section. Foredeck light, SP-E265, is on bottom angled forward, and 20 point
Bow light, SP-E964, is mounted on top. Assembly attaches to mast with (1) 1/4-20 x
3 1/2" FH machine screw (included). Housing is cast in 356 Aluminum with clear anodized finish.

Bow Light (round): SP-E964:
SS Bow Light shines forward 20 points, and is used on Spartan Combination Bow/Foredeck
Light Assembly. Round base is 2 3/8" diameter and fastens with (3) #6 screws.
Requires 3/4" hole for socket. Replacement Bulb: 12-volt, GE # 90. |

Foredeck Light (round): SP-E265:
Chrome plated Bronze Foredeck Light on plastic base illuminates the deck, and is used on
Spartan Combination Bow/Foredeck Light Assembly. Round base is 2 3/4" diameter and
fastens with (2) #8 or #6 screws on 1 1/2" hole centers. Replacement Bulb:
12-volt, GE # 70. |

CD-4 Spreader Base - Triangular: SP-089:
Triangular Cast aluminum Spreader Base fits flush with the mast surface and attaches with
(3) 1/4" FH machine screws and a 3/8" bolt. Unique and sleek design allows for use of the
same 3/8" bolt as an attachment point for a lower shroud tang, SP-205.
Used for rigs with in-line spreaders, base has 5-degree vertical lift. For use with 1 1/4" OD
Spreaders, SP-090. Please Note: If ordering
this item as a replacement part, please verify OD of Spreaders as early units were produced for
1 5/16" OD Spreaders. |

Older style, Square Cast aluminum Spreader Base fits flush with the mast surface and attaches
with (4) 1/4" RH machine screws and a 3/8" bolt. Design allows for use of the same 3/8" bolt as
an attachment point for lower shroud tang, SP-205. Used for rigs with in-line
spreaders, base has 5-degree vertical lift. For use with 1 1/4" OD Spreaders,

1 1/4" OD Spreader Assembly x 37 1/2" long: SP-090AS:
Standard Spartan SP-090 Round Spreader is 1 1/4" OD x 1" ID x 37 1/2" long
(mast to wire) and has Aluminum Tip, SP-090T, with hole for
seizing wire (included). Clear anodized 1 1/4" Standard Spreader Assembly is (maximum) 38 1/8" long. |

1 1/4" Round Spreader Assembly - Special: SP-090A-___:
Spartan SP-090 Round Spreader is 1 1/4" OD x 1" ID and has Aluminum Tip, SP-090T,
with slot for upper shroud, and hole for seizing wire (included). Finished spreaders are
available in any length, standard finish is clear anodized, specify color if painted
finish is required. To order: specify maximum length from inboard end to
shroud bearing surface, and finish. |

1 1/4" OD Round Spreader Tip: SP-090T:
Aluminum Spreader Tip for 1 1/4" OD x 1" ID Spreader features slot for
up to 1/4" shroud. Lightweight, compact version replaces earlier Cast
style and features cross-hole for seizing wire. New-style turned Tip extends shroud
seat 1/2" beyond spreader tube, unit projects 1 1/16" (maximum) beyond spreader
tube and is carefully rounded to reduce sail chafe. As K-8609.

Double Shroud Tang for 5/16" Pins: SP-205:
SS Double Shroud Tang mounts on a 3/8" bolt, for use with 2 Shrouds up to 7/32"
diameter using standard Aircraft Forks. Tang is 1" wide (at top) x 2 1/2" wide
(at bottom) x 6 5/8" long x .120" with (1) 3/8" mounting hole and (2)
5/16" Pin Holes. Pin Hole centers are 5 1/2" (vertical) from mounting hole and
are 1 1/2" (horizontal) apart. Used as Lower Shroud Tang with SP-089
Spreader Bases, and in a variety of other applications. Identical to Sch 85-55. |

CD-4 Hinged Sailgate: SP-101:
Original cast aluminum hinged assembly has sliding SS pin which, when lifted allows the 1
1/2" gate section to swing open. Designed to be mounted above the height of the
stacked mainsail slides, the sail is loaded by putting the lowest slide in first. |

Sailgate Stop: RR 73-97:
SS internal sliding gate stop assembly has spring plunger pin and slides in the mainsail
track. Slide is 3/4" wide x 2 1/2" long. As the slide is longer than the gate
cut-out it is held captive in the track and is locked in front of the gate cut-out by a
hole drilled in the track there. Pulling the SS plunger allows you to slide the stop down
and open the gate. Designed to be mounted just above the Gooseneck Bracket, the sail is
loaded by putting the top slide in first, and sliding the stop up to cover the gate after
the last (lowest) slide is in. |

| Although it adds a few inches to the
height of the sail stack, this system offers numerous advantages over the original hinged
sailgate in that it is totally captive (can't be lost), unobtrusive, and never needs
replacement. Most importantly it simplifies sail raising and lowering, and especially
reefing, as the sail slides have no obstacles as they slide up and down the mast. Please
NOTE: Although it offers a nice choice on a new spar this is a difficult item to refit in
place of the original hinged unit, as it requires that the original cut-out be filled in
carefully. |
CD-4 Gooseneck Bracket: SP-097:
Cast aluminum Gooseneck Bracket is designed for a 1" solid SS square Toggle (SP-097-1),
and includes 1/2" vertical pin. Attaches to mast with (8) 1/4" FH machine
screws. Toggle, SP-097-1 is not included, but is shown here for clarity. |

Gooseneck Toggle: SP-097-1:
Solid SS 1" square Gooseneck Toggle is designed for use with the SP-097
cast Gooseneck Bracket. It accommodates 1/2" vertical and horizontal pins. Toggle is
1" square x 2 1/2" long, pin holes are on 1 1/2" centers. |

Special SS CD-4 Gooseneck Bracket is designed for a 1" solid SS square Toggle with 3/8" holes (SP-097-1S),

CD-4 SS Gooseneck Bracket - Special: SP-097-SK:
Special SS CD-4 Gooseneck Bracket is designed for use with the Kenyon K-10345
gooseneck toggle/tack assembly and Kenyon Booms. Welded SS bracket takes a
3/8" vertical Pin and has clearance for a 1 1/2" toggle. Base is
4" vertical x approximately 3" wide, and attaches to the mast with (6) 1/4"
RH fasteners. Used with Kenyon E, 3550, and 3756 Booms (See Kenyon Booms), can also
be used as Vang Bracket with addition of K-10963 Vang Toggle.

CD-4 SS Gooseneck Bracket - Special: SP-097-SRR:
Special Heavy Duty Sfainless Steel CD-4 Gooseneck Bracket for use with Rig-Rite and other
Booms using Gooseneck Toggles with a 1/2" Pin. Welded SS bracket takes a
1/2" vertical Pin and has clearance for up to a 2 1/2" Toggle. Base is
4" vertical x approximately 3 1/4" wide, and attaches to the mast with (6)
1/4" RH fasteners. Designed for use with Rig-Rite #6 and
Rig-Rite #7 Booms and
commonly used with SS Reef Hook/Tack Assembly, RR 54-B8-4A, and cast Toggle,
RR-45-88C, below. Also fits a wide variety of other
Gooseneck
Toggles with a 1/2" Pin, and can also be used as Vang Bracket

Reef Hook/Tack Ass'y With 1/2" Vertical Bolt: RR 54-B8-4A:
Heavy-duty Stainless Steel Reef Hook/Tack Assembly incorporates 1/2" Vertical
Gooseneck Bolt. Dual Reef Hooks are formed from 5/16" rod, Assembly is (maximum) 4
5/8" wide x 7" high, and includes 5/16" SS Tack Shackle. Bolt is 4
1/4" long for use with Gooseneck Brackets and slides with a 1/2" Vertical Pin
hole and a maximum 3 1/2" bracket height. This item is also available on a custom
basis with other bolt lengths, please specify. As used on a variety of Bristols, Pearsons, and Sabres. |

Aluminum Gooseneck Toggle - 2 5/16" High: RR-45C-88R67:
Cast Aluminum Gooseneck Toggle is 2 5/16" high and accommodates 1/2"
vertical and horizontal pins. Black epoxy coated Toggle is 2 5/16"
high x 1 3/8" wide x 2 1/2" (maximum) long, pin holes are on 1 1/4"
centers. Toggle fits a variety of Mast Brackets and Gooseneck Slides designed for a 2
5/16" Toggle with a 1/2" vertical pin. As used on Pearson, Bristol, Sabre and others. |

CD-4 Winch Pad: SP-096:
Cast aluminum winch pad is 4 3/4" in diameter, and mounts on the mast centerline with
(4) 1/4" FH machine screws. Holes for the winch mounting screws are then drilled in
the winch pad and tapped in the mast. |

Winch Plate: SP-096S:
Stainless Steel winch plate is 4 1/2" high, and mounts on the mast with (8) 1/4"
RH machine screws. The winch is bolted to the winch plate with screws and locknuts and
then attached to the mast. This system offers the advantage of being able to take the
winch off the mast before taking it apart, as well as greater flexibility in mounting off
of the centerline. |

Vang Bracket for Rigid Vang – Special:
A variety of semi-custom Brackets, or Bracket/Toggle combinations are available to fit
rigid (or solid) vangs produced by a number of manufacturers. Please specify vang
manufacturer, model and size. |
Electrical Access Plate: RR-72-99:
Electrical Access Plate is designed to allow access to internal electrical plugs above the
mast step, without having to unstep the mast. Saves much in frustration and money by
allowing you to check mast wiring connections with the mast up. SS Plate is 4 1/2" x
2" and is designed to cover a 3" x 1 1/4" vertical slot in the side of the
mast, just above the top of the mast step. Plate is slightly curved to fit a variety of
mast sections and attaches with (4) 1/4-20 RH machine screws (included). |

Aluminum Mast Step attaches to the deck with (4) 1/4" bolts. Features drainage
channel to prevent water build-up inside the mast. Cast in 356 Aluminum with clear anodized finish. |

CD-4 Mast Step, Keel-Mount: SP-616K:
Adjustable Keel-mounted Mast Step for CD-4 Mast attaches to the keel or keelson with (4)
3/8" bolts in external slots to allow for precise positioning without unstepping the
mast. Mast Step measures 9 7/8" (maximum) long x 5 1/4" wide. Allows for 1
3/4" fore and aft adjustment and features drainage channel to prevent water build-up
inside the mast. Cast in 356 Aluminum with clear anodized finish. |

Special Mast Plug for Sabre 28: RR-8MS28-SP:
Special Mast Plug as used on early Sabre 28, but modified to fit CD-4 Mast Section. Mast
Plug fastens to bottom of Mast and has recess to sit on pinion protruding from special
Sabre 28 Deck Plate, allowing complete (minor) articulation of the mast bottom. Anodized
cast aluminum Mast Plug is (maximum) 6" long x 4" wide, and fastens to Mast with
(2) 1/4" RH screws. Original Sabre 28 Deck Plate (RR-8MS28DP)
is available on Special Order. |

SS Tabernacle Ass'y: RR-8M-SST:
Heavy duty SS Tabernacle Assembly used with Spartan CD-4 and similar size Mast
Sections. Mast pivots on a single 5/8" bolt, aft side of mast is cut on a
simple radius (for Masts hinging aft). For constant usage (or thin walled
Masts) we recommend welding in a 5/8" ID Aluminum compression Tube. Formed
SS Channel with Triangular sides is 7 3/4" long x 4 1/2" wide x 3/16" thick,
Channel is 4 1/8" ID. Unit attaches to Deck w/ (4) 1/4" FH bolts. Requires
5/8" hole in Mast, and aft side cutaway. Suitable for Masts up to 4 1/8"
(104mm) wide.

Electrical Wire Slide: SP-E126:
Electrical Wire Slides - 10 Pack: SP-E126P:
Nylon slides fit internal electrical wire slide tracks in CD-4 mast section. Slides are
attached to wiring harness at 2-3 foot intervals with tie wraps. Prevents wires from
slapping, and from fouling internal halyards. Slide is 3/4" long. |
