| Formed SS Backing Shells install
from outside through slot in mast for use with Stemball wire swage and Rod fittings. One
or more Cup Washers are often required. Tangs are designed to fit through the mounting
slot and are then fastened from the outside. Note: This type of tang
actually becomes part of the rigging. It must be put on the wire before the wire is
attached to the Mast. It must be removed from the mast to take the rigging off. Stemball Backing Shell Tangs come in Three Types, they are identified by the shape of the portion of the Tang that protrudes from the Mast after installation. Round Stemball Backing Shell Tangs |
