Gooseneck Tack Attachments
The Mainsail Tack attachment point, when not built into the boom end, is usually mounted on a Vertical Gooseneck Bolt. A variety of Gooseneck Tack Attachments for use with a Vertical Bolt are listed below. Some Tack Assemblies are available already welded to a vertical Gooseneck Bolt, and are listed below, as well. Please note: If using these items on a mast which has a vertical Gooseneck Pin, it must be replaced with a vertical Gooseneck Bolt and a Nut, as you will now have the full tension of the main halyard on it. A cotter pin is not strong enough to take this shear load. Order Gooseneck vertical Bolts separately, please specify diameter and length from under head. Spring Pin Tack Ass'y for 1/4" Vertical Bolt: K-1004: Stainless Steel Tack Assembly mounts under head of 1/4" Vertical Gooseneck Bolt. Unit features captive 3/16" Spring Pin to secure Tack. Tack Bracket is (maximum) 3/4" wide x 1 1/2" high, and has 5/8" wide x 1" high clearance for Tack, Assembly is formed from 5/8" x 1/16" SS Strap.
3-position Tack Ass'y for 1/4" Vertical Bolt: K-MMMA: Stainless Steel Tack Assembly mounts under head of 1/4" Vertical Gooseneck Bolt. Unit features 3-position Tack with 1/4" Pin to secure Tack. Tack Bracket is (maximum) 5/8" wide x 1 5/16" high, and has 1/2" wide x up to 3/4" high clearance for Tack, Assembly is stamped from 7/8" x 1/16" SS Strap.		###

Dual Reef Hook Assembly is 4 1/2" wide (at top), 1 3/8" wide (at bottom), 3" high, and has 1" clearance for Tack. Heavy welded Assembly features (2) 3/8" Reef Hooks and includes 3/8" SS Tack Fastpin. Base (where bolt goes through) is 3/4" thick. As used on J/40.

Some Tack Assemblies are available with an integral Vertical Gooseneck Bolt, all include a SS Locknut. Custom sizes are available as well, please specify dimensions.
Gooseneck Tack Bolt - 3/8" x 3 1/4": K-19106-3.2: Gooseneck Tack Bolt - 3/8" x 3 1/4" with Tack Shackle: K-19106-3.2S: Stainless Steel Gooseneck Tack Bolt is 3/8" diameter x 3 1/4" long (under head). Turned unit is (maximum) 1/2" OD with 1/4" hole for shackle, 5/8" long thread and includes 3/8" Locknut. Maximum Grip Length is 2 7/8". Also available with Tack Shackle.
