Rig-Rite 1 1/2" OD Spreader Sections

1 1/2" OD Round Spreaders & Hardware
Various Boatbuilders and Spar Manufacturers have used Spreaders made from 1 1/2" OD Round Tube, with several different wall thickness'. Parts for the most common sizes are listed below by OD and ID. Complete Spreader Assemblies and Tubes are available only in the 1 1/2" OD x 1 1/8" ID size, below. As most Spreader Bases for 1 1/2" OD Spreaders are of the Socket type, this size is suitable for most all applications.

1 1/2" OD x 1" ID Round Spreader Tips
Spreader Tip for 1 1/2" OD x 1" Spreader: SPR 121-01: Spreader Tip for 1 1/2" OD x 1" ID Spreaders has wide 9/16" slot for one or two shrouds. Cast Aluminum tip includes screw and locknut to secure shroud, and projects 1 1/2" from tube end. As used by Columbia.

*1 1/2" OD Round Spreader Tube: SPR 122TCA-___:* 1 1/2" OD x 1 1/8" ID Round Spreader Tube is stocked in 24' lengths with a clear anodized finish. Weight is .911 lbs. per foot. To Order: Specify Length.
*1 1/2" OD Round Spreader Assembly: SPR 122A-___:* 1 1/2" OD Spreader Assemblies (x 1 1/8" ID) are available with standard slotted Spreader Tip in any length. Clear anodized finish is standard. To Order: Specify Inboard end (if any), and Length from inboard end to the shroud seat.
*1 1/2" OD Round Spreader Ass'y w/ Twist-lock Tip: SPR 122ATL-___:*
1 1/2" OD Spreader Assemblies (x 1 1/8" ID) are available with Twist-lock Spreader Tip in any length. Clear anodized finish is standard. To Order: Specify Inboard end (if any), and Length from inboard end to the shroud seat.

Twist-lock Spreader Tip for 1 1/2" OD x 1 1/8" ID Spreaders has slot for up to 3/8" diameter shroud. Cast Aluminum tip features prongs that capture shroud without using seizing wire; shroud can only engage or disengage from spreader tip when rotated 90 degrees from mast. Projects 1" from tube end. Inboard End for 1 1/2" OD x 1 1/8" Spreader: SPR 122-05M: Inboard End for 1 1/2" OD x 1 1/8" ID Spreaders is milled to 1 1/4" Thick, where 1/2" Vertical pin connects it to Spreader Base. Machined, anodized Aluminum Inboard End is (maximum) 4" long x 1 1/2" diameter, and projects 2 9/16" from tube end. Vertical 1/2" hole is 13/16" from Inboard end. As used by Pearson and Bristol.

Twist-lock Spreader Tip for 1 1/2" OD x 1 3/8" ID Spreaders has slot for up to 3/8" diameter shroud. Cast Aluminum tip features prongs that capture shroud without using seizing wire; shroud can only engage or disengage from spreader tip when rotated 90 degrees from mast. Projects 1" from tube end. Commonly used with Oval Spreader Sections that were swaged to be round at the outboard end, and welded to Spreader. mil

Spreader Bases for 1 1/2" Round Spreaders 1 1/2" Round Spreaders are normally used with Spreader Bases which are formed to fit specific Mast Sections. Spreader Bases used with these Spreaders are specific to individual Mast Sections and are listed under the Mast Sections that they attach to. See Identifying your Spar Section. For Spreader Bases not listed, we will require a sketch of the Base with Measurements and identification of the Mast Section.
*SS Spreader Base w/ 1/2" Pin - Special: MM SBS82-8P:* Stainless Steel Spreader Base w/ 1/2" Vertical Pin. Attaches to Mast with (2) 1/2" Bolts on 4 1/4" centers. Base Measures 6" high x 3" wide, and projects 2" out from Mast. Used with SPR 122-05M Inboard End (above) for 1 1/2" OD x 1 1/8" ID Spreader. Formed to fit a 3" radius, this Base was used on a variety of Mast Sections. As used by Pearson and Bristol.
