MetalMast MM 9461 Section Mast Tube is stocked in a variety of lengths (listed above) raw (mill finish), it is also available anodized, or cut to shorter lengths. To order, specify length.

Masthead Assembly w/ Offset Spinnaker Crane: MM 9461M-H2-CPA:
Aluminum Masthead Assembly for MM 9461 Mast Section fits tube end and incorporates (4) 2 1/2" OD aluminum sheaves, PP-S10A9-B6, for internal or external wire or rope halyards, and (2) SS Toggles with 5/8" Pins for Headstay and Backstay attachment. Includes 5/16" Clevis Pins for attachment of topping lift and Triatic Stay, and a (Port) Offset Spinnaker Crane pre-drilled for optional Spinnaker Bail, SP-083, (order separately). Masthead Assembly is 13 1/2" long (excluding Spinnaker Crane) x (maximum) 5 1/16" wide, and attaches to the mast with (4) 1/4" screws. As used on Pearson 365 and 365K Main.   PP-22024

Spreaders
The MetalMast MM 9461 Mast Section is normally used with MM SP-425H, and MM SP-300H airfoil Spreaders. For Spreader details, or to order replacement Spreaders, see MetalMast Spreader Sections. Spreaders. Common Spreader Bases are listed below.

SS Spreader Bracket Assembly for MM 9461 Mast is normally used with MM SP-425H Spreaders. Unit is 3 1/2" high x 7 1/2" wide and attaches to mast with (11) 1/4" RH screws and a 3/8" bolt commonly used for shroud Tang doubler. Bracket has a 5-degree vertical lift, and includes (2) 1/2" Pins (on 3 5/8" centers) for attachment of Spreader with 1/2" thick Base Plate.

SS Spreader Bracket Assembly for MM 9461 Mast is normally used with MM SP-425H Spreaders. Hinged Mainsail Gate Assembly: MM MG-H1:
Hinged Mainsail Gate assembly fits a variety of older MetalMast Sections. Gate is (maximum) 1 3/4" high x 2 1/4" wide. Base is 1 3/4" wide x 11/16" high and projects (maximum) 1/2" from Mast surface. Base attaches to Mast with (2) #6 FH screws on 5/16" vertical centers. Extruded Aluminum Gate is easily distinguished from others of its type by the attachment holes being vertical and the fact of its being Extruded. Used on a variety of Spars built in the 1960's through the 1980's.

 

3/4" Sail Slide Stop: K-10424:
SS Spring Pin Sail Slide Stop fits all mast sections with track for 3/4" internal flat slides. Superior design allows Slide Stop to remain captive in mast track. Gate cutout (1 3/4" high) is made just 1" above SS Gooseneck bracket. Spring pin fits in 1/4" hole drilled at top of cutout, unit slides down beneath Gooseneck Bracket when Spring pin is pulled. This design allows sail slides to come as close as possible to the gooseneck while remaining in track, and eliminates problems associated with slides snagging while going past a normal sail gate. Unit is 2 1/2" long x 3/4" wide with a 1/4" spring pin.  74-66 6106

Gooseneck Bracket: MM 9461M-GB1:
SS Gooseneck Bracket for MM 9461 Mast Section has 1/2" vertical Pin hole, for use with Gooseneck Toggle up to 2" high. Base is 5" vertical x approximately 3 5/8" wide, and attaches to the mast with (8) 1/4" RH fasteners. Sch.

Commonly used with Combination Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook Assembly, RR-8349M-GTA, below. Can also be used as Vang Bracket with addition of Vang Toggle.

Vertical Gooseneck Pin: RR 8349M-GB1P:
SS Gooseneck Vertical Pin for use with Gooseneck Bracket, RR-8349M-GB1. SS Clevis Pin is 1/2" diameter x 3" grip length. 

 

Gooseneck Toggle Assembly w/ Tack & Reef Hooks: RR 8349M-GTA:
Combination Toggle/Tack/Reef Hook assembly features SS Tack/Reef Hook assembly bolted to cast Aluminum Toggle (RR 45-148M-W) and includes 1/2" Tack fastpin, K-10718. Toggle takes 1/2" vertical and horizontal pins. White painted Toggle is 2 5/16" high x 1 3/8" wide (15/16" wide @ Horizontal pin hole) x 3 7/8" (maximum) long, pin holes are on 2 1/2" centers. Toggle fits a variety of Mast Brackets designed for a 2 5/16" Toggle with a 1/2" vertical pin. As used on Sabre 42.  RR 45-148MRAW  

 

 

MetalMast 9461 Winch Pad, Aluminum: MM 9461M-WP1A:
Aluminum Winch Pad for MetalMast 9461 is 7 1/8" diameter, and molded to fit a range of positions on the side of the section. Pad provides a flat mounting surface for winches up to Andersen 46ST and Lewmar 48ST. Cast Aluminum Pad has 3" ID, and is designed to be welded to the mast, but can be drilled for attachment with screws.

Vang Bracket for Rigid Vang – Special:
A variety of semi-custom Brackets, or Bracket/Toggle combinations are available to fit rigid (or solid) vangs produced by a number of manufacturers. Please specify vang manufacturer, model and size.

 

Electrical Access Plate: RR 72-99:
Electrical Access Plate is designed to allow access to internal electrical plugs above the mast step, without having to unstep the mast. Saves much in frustration and money by allowing you to check mast wiring connections with the mast up. SS Plate is 4 1/2" x 2" and is designed to cover a 3" x 1 1/4" vertical slot in the side of the mast, just above the top of the mast step. Plate is slightly curved to fit a variety of mast sections and attaches with (4) 1/4-20 RH machine screws (included).

Mast Step: MM 9461M-MS-C1R:
Mast Step for MM 9461 Mast Section fastens to keel or deck and is undrilled to adapt to any mounting hole configuration. Cast Aluminum Mast Step measures 9 3/16" long x 5 13/16" wide with Light Gray Awlgrip finish.   RR

MetalMast 6844/7348 Deck Collar, Standard: MM 6844M-C1:
Standard 6844 and 7348 Deck Collar, for keel stepped masts, fastens to deck with (8) 1/4" FH screws. Base size is (maximum) 12" x 9 3/4" x 3" high, with 5/16" thick Base and 1/4" thick Mast flange. ID size is (maximum) 8" x 5 7/8". Fabricated from 6061 Aluminum plate with clear anodized finish.

Electrical Wire Slide: Mer 404-7:
Electrical Wire Slides - 10 Pack: Mer 404-7-10P:
Standard 7/8" Nickel silver sail slides fit MetalMast MM 9461 and other Mast Sections using 7/8" sailtrack for internal electrical slides. Slides are attached to wiring harness at 2-3 foot intervals with tie wraps. Prevents wires from slapping, and from fouling internal halyards.
