| Cleats are used to tie off a line (halyards, reef lines, sheets,
etc.), wherever needed. Jam Cleats are generally similar to
Spar Cleats (a narrow base attaching
with 2 screws) but with an extended foot with a V-Groove on one side designed to wedge the line as
tension is applied. They generally also have a hole in the base so the line can be run through it
and knotted, preventing the line from getting away. Rig-Rite stocks a large selection of Jam Cleats. Common varieties are listed below. If you require Jam Cleats not listed, please forward a sketch or photo of your Cleat

Black, or Clear Anodized Cleat is 4" long, and fastens to spar with (2) 3/16" (#10) FH screws on 1 1/16" centers.

Black, or Clear Anodized Cleat is 5" long, and fastens to spar with (2) 7/32" (#12) FH screws on 1 5/16" centers.
