Schaefer Foot Blocks / Turning Blocks Schaefer has been making Foot Blocks / Turning Blocks for over 40 years. Manufactured in a variety of styles over the years, many older versions are still available. Common on production and one-off boats from the 1970's and on, all units feature easily replaceable sheaves. Schaefer Foot Blocks listed on this page are not currently in production. Aluminum Foot Block w/ 2" Sheave - Single: Sch 30-55X: Aluminum Foot Block w/ 2" Sheaves - Double: Sch 30-56X:
Schaefer 05 Series 'Contemporary' Foot Block with 2" Plastic Sheave. Unit is 4 3/8" long x 2 1/8" wide, and attaches to deck with (4) 1/4" (6mm) screws (included). Single block is 1" high, double is 1 3/4" high. Safe working load is 3500 lbs. on lower sheave (and single sheave version), and 1750 lbs. on upper sheave. Suitable for use with up to 1/2" line. As used on a variety of boats in the 30' range. Replacement Sheave is PP-S8D10-8.

Schaefer 07 Series 'Contemporary' Foot Block with 2 3/8" Aluminum Sheave. Unit is 5 3/8" long x 2 5/8" wide, and attaches to deck with (5) 5/16" (8mm) screws (included). Single block is 1 1/8" high, double is 1 3/4" high. Safe working load is 4500 lbs. on lower sheave (and single sheave version), and 2250 lbs. on upper sheave. Suitable for use with up to 5/8" line. As used on a variety of boats up to 40'. Limited availability. Replacement Sheave is PP S9.2A12-CB8.

Foot Block w/ 2 3/8" Sheave on Aluminum Angle Pad - Port: Sch 30-72X: Foot Block w/ 2 3/8" Sheave on Aluminum Angle Pad - Starboard: Sch 30-73X:
Schaefer 07 Series Foot Block with 2 3/8" Plastic Sheave. Block has integral Angled Base Pad (35° athwartships, 10° up) to better align the sheet with the winch. Cast Aluminum Base is (maximum) 4 7/16" long x 2 7/8" wide, and attaches to deck with (4) 1/4" (6mm) RH screws. Safe working load is 2000 lbs.. Suitable for use with up to 5/8" line. Replacement Sheave is PP-S9.2D13-CB7.

SS Foot Block w/ 3 1/4" Aluminum Sheave - Rope Groove: Sch 30-25X: SS Foot Block w/ 3 1/4" Aluminum Sheave - V-Groove: Sch 30-26X:
Schaefer 10 Series SS Foot Block with 3 1/4" Aluminum Sheave. Unit is 5" long x 3 1/2" wide x 1 1/4" high, and attaches to deck with (2) 3/8" (10mm) bolts, and (2) 5/16" (8mm) FH screws. Safe working load is 10,000 lbs.. Suitable for use with up to 5/8" line, or for up to 5/8" line and 1/4" wire. Replacement Sheave with Rope Groove is PP-S13AR13-B14. Replacement Sheave with V-Groove is PP-S13A13-B14. SK 3042

SS Foot Block w/ 4" Aluminum Sheave - Single: Sch 30-96X: SS Foot Block w/ 4" Aluminum Sheave - Double: Sch 30-95X:
Schaefer 12 Series SS Foot Block with 4" Aluminum Sheave. Unit is 9 5/8" long x 4 1/4" wide, and attaches to deck with (6) 3/8" (10mm) FH bolts. Unit features (2) 1" diameter x 3/8" deep lugs extending into the deck. Safe working load is 15,000 lbs. on lower sheave (and single sheave version), and 7500 lbs. on upper sheave. Suitable for use with up to 3/4" line. Note that single sheave version has (2) 1" diameter x 3/8" bosses on bottom requiring deck recesses. Also available with Black Cheeks: Sch 32-96X and 32-95X. Replacement Sheave is PP-S16AR15-B20.
